Why are you so anti the BDS movement? Boycotting is an incredibly effective and nonviolent way to show dissent - it’s literally just not buying goods that originate from a place/location you believe to be acting unethically. I ask you genuinely: what do you want people who disagree with the actions of the Israeli government to do? You condemn every protest as antisemitism - which sure, there are certainly those who use such protests as excuses for antisemitism, but the vast majority are using their right to free speech to express disappointment and anger. Boycotting Israeli goods because of the actions of the Israeli government is also antisemitic in your view. One is led to believe that you and likeminded people genuinely believe any criticism of Israel is antisemitism, which is simply insane. We must be able to express anger at the actions of governments - especially a government we send SO MUCH MONEY to. A paradox emerges: YOU are the one constantly conflating criticism of the Israeli government with antisemitism, yet in doing so, you bring uninvolved and innocent Jewish people into it, which is actually far more antisemitic and enables antisemitic dialogues way more because it conflates the actions of the Israeli government with the Jewish people, therefore inspiring further hate. You do not have to agree with the pro Palestine movement. But you have to give it the right to protest, advocate, and take up space without labelling everything they do as bigotry.
